Basketball Game Preview: Island Coast Gators vs. Marco Island Academy Rays

Having just played yesterday, the Island Coast Gators will jump right back in to play the Marco Island Academy Rays at 4:30 p.m. on Saturday. Island Coast will be strutting in after a victory while Marco Island Academy will be coming in after a defeat.

Island Coast will bounce into Saturday's game after beating Cypress Lake, who they had gone 0-9 against in their nine prior meetings. Island Coast strolled past Cypress Lake with points to spare on Friday, taking the game 62-43.

Island Coast can attribute much of their success to Jose Bido, who posted 22 points. Jermiah Oliveras was another key player, putting up 11 points.

Meanwhile, after soaring to 82 points the game before, Marco Island Academy was a bit more limited in their contest on Thursday. They were beaten by South Fort Myers 87-24. The matchup marked the Rays' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Island Coast's win bumped their record up to 9-6. As for Marco Island Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 1-10.
