Volleyball Recap: Berean Christian Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Berean Christian extended their losing streak to five on Tuesday, dropping them down to 9-9. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-2 heartbreaker at the hands of the Benicia Panthers. The Eagles were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Panthers apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in October of 2024.

Caroline Phelan paced Berean Christian's offense, picking up ten kills. Phelan got some help from Adeline Bellig and her 20 assists. Marley Seelye controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

As for Benicia, the victory got them back to even at 7-7. The win was a breath of fresh air for they as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.

Zoe Cohen went supernova, getting 25 digs and two aces. That's the most aces she has posted over her last 12 games. Justice Brown also deserves some recognition as she served her first ace of the season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Berean Christian will venture away from home to face off against Salesian College Preparatory at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Benicia, they will head out to challenge College Park at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
