On Friday, Mountain City Christian Academy faced Colony in a battle between two of the state's top teams. The Mountain City Christian Academy Lions fell 54-43 to the Colony Knights. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Knights this season, with their most recent defeat being a 58-38 loss two weeks ago.

Despite the loss, Mountain City Christian Academy still got an impressive performance from Morgan Maldonado, who posted 19 points and three steals. Maldonado has been hot for a while, having posted two or more steals the last nine times she's played. Keelie Kronberger was another key player, putting up ten points and six boards.
