Softball Recap: Julian Comes Up Short

Julian was the 35-11 winner over Warner when they last played one another back in April of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Julian Eagles came up short against the Warner Wildcats on Monday, falling 24-15.

Julian saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Hailey Bennett, who went 2-for-4 with one home run, four stolen bases, and three RBI. Bennett is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games she's played.

Julian now has a losing record of 2-3. As for Warner, they moved to 1-2 with that victory, which also ended their ten-game losing streak.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Julian will take on Kearny in a tournament on Wednesday. As for Warner, they will be taking part in a tournament against Lincoln at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Lincoln has struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 20.5 runs per game on average), something Warner will no doubt try to take advantage of.
