Baseball Recap: Christ Prep Academy Has No Trouble Against St. Mary's Academy

Christ Prep Academy never let their opponents score on Friday. They blew past the St. Mary's Academy Crusaders 11-0. The result was nothing new for the Patriots, who have now won seven matches by seven runs or more so far this season.

Garrett Ford tossed a big game, not allowing a single earned run while striking out seven over five innings pitched. That's the most strikeouts he has posted since back in April.

On the hitting side, Aidan Kent was incredible, going 2-for-3 with three stolen bases and three runs. Those three runs gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Cade Elder, who went 1-for-3 with two stolen bases, one run, and one RBI.

With the win, Christ Prep Academy broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 9-10. As for St. Mary's Academy, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost five of their last six contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 10-8 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Christ Prep Academy will welcome Plaza Heights Christian Academy at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. As for St. Mary's Academy, they will be playing at home against Onaga at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
