Volleyball Game Preview: Community Christian Royals vs. Choctaw Yellowjackets

Community Christian is on a six-game streak of home wins, while Choctaw is on a four-game streak of away wins: one of those streaks is about to end. The Royals will host the Yellowjackets at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Choctaw took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Community Christian, who comes in off a win.

Community Christian is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Oklahoma's top teams: Christian Heritage, who was ranked 18th at the time (Community Christian was ranked first). The Royals were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Crusaders on Thursday. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest win the Royals have posted against the Crusaders since August 31, 2023.

The final score came out to 25-21, 25-14, 25-15.

Rachel Maynes was the offensive standout of the match as she had seven digs and two aces. That's the most digs she has posted since back in August.

Meanwhile, Choctaw came up short against Southmoore on Saturday, falling 3-0.

Choctaw has also been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 9-14 record this season. As for Community Christian, their victory bumped their record up to 24-1.
