Basketball Recap: Laingsburg Picks Up Fourth Consecutive Win

Laingsburg had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 23.3 points) and they went ahead and made it four on Wednesday. They were the clear victor by a 59-34 margin over the St. Charles Bulldogs. The Wolfpack have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won nine games by 23 points or more this season.

Despite the loss, St. Charles still got an impressive performance from Allison Zelinko, who went 6-for-10 en route to 13 points and six steals. St. Charles is 12-3 when Zelinko posts three or more steals, but 2-3 otherwise.

Laingsburg's victory was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 13-6. The wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 28.0 points over those games. As for St. Charles, their defeat dropped their record down to 14-6.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Laingsburg will square off against Bath at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for St. Charles, they will take on Coleman at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
