Basketball Recap: Valley Regional Comes Up Short

Valley Regional was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their tenth straight defeat dating back to last season. They took a blow against the Morgan Huskies, falling 60-15. The Warriors were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 42-8.

Sadie Passante continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines for Morgan, dropping a double-double on 20 points and 12 steals. Passante's evening made it five games in a row in which she has scored at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Emma Teuner, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and 11 rebounds.

Valley Regional's loss dropped their record down to 0-6. As for Morgan, they are on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last ten matches, which provided a nice bump to their 12-2 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Valley Regional has already played their next game (against Fitch), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Morgan will venture away from home to face off against North Branford at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
