Softball Recap: Pendleton Turns Things Around After Road Loss

There's no place like home for Pendleton, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Thursday. They never let the Ware Shoals Hornets get on the board and left with a 4-0 win on Friday. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 10-1 back in March.

The result came thanks to Abigail Meredith's shutout, as she gave up just three hits. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Bri Meeks was incredible, going 2-for-3 with three stolen bases, two runs, and one triple. That triple marked the first that she has hit this season.

Pendleton's victory bumped their record up to 8-11. As for Ware Shoals, their defeat was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 2-13.

Coming up, Pendleton will be playing in front of their home fans against Belton-Honea Path at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Ware Shoals, they will venture away from home to take on Whitmire at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Wolverines will roll in looking for their 15th straight win, something the Hornets surely won't give up without a fight.
