Basketball Recap: Angleton's Luck Changes for the Better on Friday

Angleton can finally bid farewell to their three-game losing streak thanks to their game on Friday. They snuck past the Alief Elsik Rams with a 68-64 victory.

Angleton found their leader in freshman Bryson Campbell, who went 7 of 9 on his way to 20 points and three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Kadyine Jones, who went 5 of 8 on his way to 12 points along with six rebounds and three steals.

Despite the loss, Alief Elsik still got an impressive performance from Timothy Ofesi, who dropped a double-double on 17 points and 16 boards. That's the most rebounds Ofesi has posted since back in November. Jose Wainer was another key player, putting up eight points and seven rebounds.

Angleton's win bumped their record up to 10-11. As for Alief Elsik, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-12 record this season.

Angleton wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, an 85-65 victory against South Houston on the 27th. As for Alief Elsik, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 55-50 win against Trinity on the 27th.
