Plano East and McKinney are an even 5-5 against one another since October of 2016, but not for long. The Panthers will be playing in front of their home fans against the Lions at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Plano East is coming into the match hot, having won their last four games.

Plano East is returning to their home court after beating Plano on theirs, despite the fact Plano has dominated at home this season. The Panthers blew past the Wildcats 3-0 on Tuesday.

Meanwhile, McKinney came up short against McKinney Boyd on Tuesday and fell 3-1.

While McKinney ultimately came up short, they didn't go down without a fight: they scored at least 17 points in every set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-21, 19-25, 25-19, 25-17.

Plano East's win bumped their record up to 27-10. As for McKinney, they dropped their record down to 15-20 with the defeat, which was their fifth straight at home.

Plano East took their victory against McKinney in their previous meeting back in September by a conclusive 3-0 score. Will the Panthers repeat their success, or do the Lions have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
