Soccer Recap: Catskill Comes Up Short

Catskill lost against Greenville back in October of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Cats came up short against the Spartans, falling 7-0. While losing is never fun, Catskill can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' New York soccer rankings (they are ranked 418th, while Greenville are ranked 26th).

Catskill is on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-7-1. As for Greenville, the victory (which was their 13th in a row) raised their record to 13-1.

Looking ahead, Catskill will challenge Taconic Hills at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Greenville, they will take on Niskayuna at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday.
