Davis Sr. took the loss but they managed to make steady progress, increasing their score in every set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-19, 25-21, 26-24.
Whitney's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Kapri Orteza, who had 15 digs and two aces. Orteza is on a roll when it comes to aces, as she's now served two or more in the last three games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Kailani Lendahl, who had 12 digs.
Davis Sr.'s loss dropped their record down to 11-9. As for Whitney, their win ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 13-18.
