University won the last time they faced Valley and things went their way on Thursday too. The Bulldogs were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Vikings.

University walked away with the win (and looked especially good in the third set). Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-17, 25-19, 25-12.

Leading University to victory were Livianna Aguilar and Holly Jennings. Aguilar had 12 digs and two assists, while Jennings had five assists and two aces. That's the most aces Jennings has posted since back in September.

They weren't the only good servers: University was lethal from the service line and finished the match with ten aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least six aces every time they've taken the court this season.

University's record is now 12-3. As for Valley, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-9 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. University is set to face off against their familiar foe Fort Morgan at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Valley will square off against rival Windsor Charter Academy at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
