Basketball Game Preview: Meyer Ravens vs. Itasca Wampus Cats

The Meyer Ravens will head out to square off against the Itasca Wampus Cats at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Meyer's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last 16 games.

On Tuesday, Meyer made easy work of Crawford and carried off a 57-35 win. The Ravens have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 13 matchups by 20 points or more this season.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Itasca, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Tuesday. They had just enough and edged out Crawford 50-48. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Wampus Cats have posted since December 22, 2025.

Meyer has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 17 of their last 18 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 20-5 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 67.8 points over those games. As for Itasca, their record is now 18-9.

Meyer didn't have too much breathing room in their game against Itasca when the teams last played back in February of 2025, but they still walked away with a 53-47 victory. Will the Ravens repeat their success, or do the Wampus Cats have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
