Football Recap: Paul Mcgrath Leads a Balanced Attack to Beat Hopkinton

There's no place like home for Holliston, who bounced back after a loss on the road two weeks ago. Everything went their way against the Hopkinton Hillers on Thursday as they made off with a 28-6 win. The Panthers haven't had any issues with the Hillers recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive victory against them.

Holliston got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Paul McGrath out in front who picked up 104 receiving yards and a pair of TDs. McGrath showed off some serious burst, cutting upfield on a catch for 61 yards. Holliston also got a significant boost from Max Maurao, who ran away from the competition to the tune of 86 yards.

Holliston now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Hopkinton, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-4.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Holliston will face off against rival Ashland at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have allowed few points on average (the Panthers 11, the Clockers 11.5) so any points scored will be well earned. Meanwhile, Hopkinton is set to challenge their familiar foe Norwood at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
