Football Recap: North Port Bobcats vs. Key West Conchs
If North Port was feeling good fresh off their 45-7 takedown of Bonita Springs last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The North Port Bobcats fell 33-21 to the Key West Conchs on Friday.
Jaden Fox was his usual excellent self, rushing for 145 yards and three touchdowns for Key West. Another back making a difference was Walson Morin, who gained 71 total yards and a touchdown.
North Port now has a losing record at 2-3. As for Key West, they now have a winning record of 3-2.
North Port will be playing in front of their home fans against DeSoto County at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. DeSoto County will be hoping to continue their three-game streak of scoring more points each match than the last. As for Key West, they will head out on the road to square off against St. Brendan at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Key West's defense has only allowed 16.4 points per game this season, so St. Brendan's offense will have their work cut out for them.
