Football Recap: Woodbridge Skates Past Katella with Ease

Woodbridge got themselves on the board against Katella on Thursday, but Katella never followed suit. They blew past the Knights 35-0. The high-flying offensive performance was a huge turnaround for the Warriors considering their seven-point performance the contest before.

Woodbridge found their leader in freshman Waylon Stone, who threw for 280 yards and three touchdowns while completing 77.3% of his passes. Jalen Webb was Stone's top target, picking up 97 receiving yards and a pair of TDs.

Woodbridge's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-7. As for Katella, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-5.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Woodbridge will welcome University at 7:00 p.m. on the 24th. As for Katella, they will host Pacifica at 7:00 p.m. on the 24th. The Knights will need to watch out since the Mariners have now posted at least 31 points in their last three games.
