Basketball Game Preview: Princeton Tigers vs. Stanberry Bulldogs

The Princeton Tigers will venture away from home to take on the Stanberry Bulldogs at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Princeton will be coming into the contest with an undefeated record on the line.

Last Monday, Princeton blew past Union Star, posting a 66-13 win. The Tigers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won nine matchups by 20 points or more this season.

Stanberry might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 48-36 to Stewartsville, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. While losing is never fun, the Bulldogs can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Missouri basketball rankings (they are ranked 502nd, while the Cardinals are ranked 230th).

Princeton's victory was their 13th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 16-0. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 66.9 points per game. As for Stanberry, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 5-12.

Everything came up roses for Princeton against Stanberry in their previous matchup back in January of 2024, as the squad secured a 67-31 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Princeton since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
