Soccer Recap: Rio Grande City Takes a Loss

Rio Grande City entered their contest against Roma on Friday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. While the 2-2 score might suggest a draw, it was the Roma Gladiators who were credited with the victory. The Roma Gladiators got it done in the shootout by posting four goals to the Rio Grande City Rattlers' three. The Rattlers were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Gladiators earlier this season, when they won 3-1.

This is the second loss in a row for Rio Grande City and nudges their season record down to 7-5-1. As for Roma, their win ended a five-game drought on the road and puts them at 7-13.

As of now, neither Rio Grande City nor Roma have any future games scheduled.
