It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but St. Edward had no problem doing just that on Monday. They claimed a resounding 38-0 win over the Lake Park Lancers. The result was nothing new for the Green Wave, who have now won nine games by 26 points or more so far this season.

St. Edward's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Savannah Lynch, who rushed for 96 yards and three touchdowns on only seven carries, and also picked up 60 receiving yards. Lynch didn't just play on offense: she also picked up two sacks and made five total tackles. Sarah Gurley was another major influence, as she rushed for 68 yards and ran in a TD.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: St. Edward was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 314 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've posted since the start of last season.

St. Edward didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Ginger Younger and Gurley.

St. Edward has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won ten of their last 11 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-3 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 30.2 points over those games. As for Lake Park, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-14.

St. Edward has already played their next contest, a 31-26 win against St. Francis on the 7th. Lake Park does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
