Volleyball Recap: Hiawatha Hawks vs. St. Edward Green Wave

It was a good run, but Hiawatha unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Thursday. They fell 2-0 to the St. Edward Green Wave.

Hiawatha was was forced to take the loss, but they sure made St. Edward work for it, especially in the second set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-13, 27-25.

Delaney Wood paced Hiawatha's offense, picking up ten kills. Wood got some help from Zo? Elder and her 13 assists. Wood also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Mia Siddall, racking up two apiece.

Hiawatha's defeat dropped their record down to 18-20. As for St. Edward, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 15-22-1.

As of now, neither Hiawatha nor St. Edward have any future games scheduled.
