Volleyball Game Preview: West Port Wolf Pack vs. Seven Rivers Christian Warriors

West Port is a perfect 5-0 against Seven Rivers Christian since April of 2023 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Wolf Pack will be playing at home against the Warriors at 5:30 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (West Port has three straight victories, Seven Rivers Christian has seven straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the court.

If Lake Weir wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played West Port, they should've done a better job of containing Luis Monserat. The Wolf Pack blew past the Hurricanes 3-0 on Monday thanks in part to Monserat, who had 19 digs and two aces. He has been hot, having posted 18 or more digs the last seven times he's played.

While West Port won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the second set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-17, 26-24, 25-15.

Meanwhile, Seven Rivers Christian came up short against Foundation Christian Academy on Tuesday and fell 3-1.

The loss didn't mean the game wasn't competitive: Foundation Christian Academy scored at least 17 points in every set. The match finished with set scores of 25-21, 18-25, 25-23, 25-17.

West Port now has a winning record of 11-10. As for Seven Rivers Christian, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-15.

West Port took their win against Seven Rivers Christian in their previous meeting back in March by a conclusive 3-0 score. Do the Wolf Pack have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Warriors turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
