Baseball Recap: Suwannee Bulldogs vs. Wakulla War Eagles

Suwannee and Wakulla squared off in some playoff action on Wednesday, but Suwannee had to settle for second. They fell just short of the Wakulla War Eagles by a score of 6-5. Suwannee was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Wakulla apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in April.

Suwannee saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Noah Lopez, who scored two runs while going 2-for-4.

On Wakulla's side, Will Chipman looked comfortable as he tossed 2.2 innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Chipman has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two hits in five consecutive pitching appearances.

At the plate, Parker Lawhon and Haden Klees did most of the damage at the plate: Lawhon scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-3, while Klees got on base in three of his four plate appearances with a home run and two RBI.
