Volleyball Recap: Pigeon Forge Starts Season with Loss on the Road

Pigeon Forge had to hit the road for their first game and it wasn't the result they were hoping for. They lost 3-0 to the Northview Academy Cougars on Tuesday. Sadly, the loss continues a streak the team started last season, making it five in a row.

While Pigeon Forge was kept off the board, it wasn't for a lack of trying: they cut into Northview Academy's winning margin in every set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-16, 25-17, 25-19.

Kylie Reddell paced Pigeon Forge's offense, picking up nine kills. Reddell got some help from Rylinn Ginter and her eight assists. Ginter also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Kenzie Parton, racking up three apiece.

Pigeon Forge didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-0 win against Gatlinburg-Pittman on the 21st. As for Northview Academy, they have also already played their next match, a 2-0 victory against Lenoir City on the 21st.
