Game recap: Valor Christian High School Football Team beats Legend

HIGHLANDS RANCH, Colo. - A big 28-point first quarter helped carry the Eagles to a 48-10 victory over Legend (Parker, Colo.) on Saturday.

Valor Christian scored on an A.J. Cecil touchdown pass to Christian McCaffrey, a touchdown pass by Cecil to McCaffrey, a Jace LaMunyon touchdown run and a touchdown run by McCaffrey in the quarter.

After taking the lead on an Cecil touchdown pass to McCaffrey in the first quarter, VC led 42-0 at the half.

The Eagles raced to 28 in the first quarter alone and never looked back.

Legend's lone touchdown came on a 1-yard run by Josh Miskol in the third quarter.



Last season's game between the teams resulted in a 51-12 win for the Eagles.

The defeat comes as a step back for Legend, who notched a 51-13 victory over Palmer in its previous outing. The loss snapped Legend's three-game winning streak.
