Farragut waltzed into their matchup  on Saturday with six straight wins... but they left with seven. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with  a  7-5  win over the DeKalb County Tigers. The Admirals have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Tigers, too.
 Ava Barnes was a major factor no matter where she played. She  pitched two innings while giving up   no  earned runs off   one  hit. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't  given up  more than one  walk in seven consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box,  going 1-for-3 with one  home run.
 In other batting news,  the team  relied heavily on  Amelia Dorset, who  scored a  run and  stole a base while going 2-for-2. That's the most  hits  she has posted since back in April of 2024. Another player making a difference was  Taylor Albright, who  scored a  run and  stole a base while going 1-for-3.
 Farragut  hit smart and  finished the game with only one  strikeout. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now  struck out at most three  strikeouts in three consecutive  games.
Farragut's record now sits at 13-2-1. As for DeKalb County, they moved to 6-4 with that  loss, which also ended their four-game winning streak.
 Farragut has already played their next contest,  a  5-2  defeat against Gibbs on the 22nd. As for DeKalb County, they also  didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next  match,  an  8-0  victory against Upperman on the 25th.
