Volleyball Recap: Wood Takes a Loss

Wood was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They lost 3-0 to the River City Raiders.

Wood was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the third set very close. The match finished with set scores of 25-13, 25-11, 25-22.

Wood's defeat dropped their record down to 1-6. As for River City, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-5 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Wood is set to take on their familiar foe Vacaville at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Meanwhile, River City will face off against rival Pioneer at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
