Baseball Recap: Washougal Comes Up Short

Washougal lost against Columbia River back in April of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Panthers fell just short of the Rapids by a score of 3-2. The Panthers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Washougal saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Owen MacDonald, who scored a run while going 1-for-3. MacDonald also hit a double, marking his first of the season.

Washougal's defeat dropped their record down to 3-3. As for Columbia River, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 5-2.

While Washougal had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
