Softball Recap: Columbia Comes Up Short

If Columbia was riding high fresh off their 11-0 takedown of Kalama on Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Bruins came up short against the Chinooks on Tuesday, falling 24-18. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game on Tuesday (11), the Bruins still had to take the loss.

Columbia has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-4 record this season. As for Kalama, their victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 8-5.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Columbia will take on rival La Center at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Kalama is set to square off against their familiar foe Stevenson at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
