Baseball Recap: Forbush Has No Trouble Against Starmount

Forbush won the last time they faced Starmount and things went their way on Friday too. The Forbush Falcons put the hurt on the Starmount Rams with a sharp 15-4 victory. The Falcons might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won five matchups by seven runs or more this season.

Bo Moxley was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he didn't allow a single earned run while striking out nine over four innings pitched. What's more, he gave up only one walk, the fewest he's had since back in April of 2024. He was also stellar in the batter's box, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances with one home run, five RBI, and one double. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in RBI.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Aaron Hutchens, who scored a run and stole a base while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances. Keaton Forrest also deserves some recognition as he scored his first runs of the season.

Forbush's record is now 5-1. As for Starmount, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-3.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Forbush will venture away from home to square off against West Wilkes at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The contest will give Forbush their first taste of in-conferenceaction this season. As for Starmount, they will head out to challenge West Davidson at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Starmount has given up an average of 10.6 runs per game this season, so hopefully the team got some pitching drills in this week.
