Baseball Recap: Mitchell Comes Up Short

Mitchell lost against Bedford North Lawrence back in May of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Bluejackets came up short against the Stars, falling 14-3.

Bryson Zeeks was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-3 with one triple and two RBI. That triple marked the first that he has hit this season.

Mitchell has been struggling recently as they've lost eight of their last nine matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-13 record this season. As for Bedford North Lawrence, their victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 13-6.

Mitchell didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, an 11-5 win against Crawford County on the 19th. As for Bedford North Lawrence, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, a 4-3 victory against Jennings County on the 19th.
