Softball Recap: Prout Crusaders vs. Ponaganset Chieftains
Prout faced Ponaganset in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Sunday. The Crusaders blew past the Chieftains 13-3. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Crusaders also won the last time the pair played back in June of 2022.
Megan Gardiner spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned (and two unearned) runs on eight hits and racked up eight Ks.
