Softball Recap: Greater Nanticoke Area Trojans vs. Wyoming Area Warriors
Greater Nanticoke Area had lost four straight on the road, but on Tuesday they dropped their record down to 2-15 to make it five. They lost 10-0 to the Wyoming Area Warriors. Having soared to a lofty 13 runs in the game before, the Trojans' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.
As for Wyoming Area, the victory snapped their losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 9-8 record. The result was nothing new for the Warriors, who have now won six games by ten runs or more so far this season.
For Wyoming Area's part, Alexa Gasek made a splash no matter where she played. She didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit over four innings pitched. Gasek has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than two walks in eight consecutive appearances.
