Softball Game Preview: Roxborough Wolves vs. Frankford Pioneers

The Roxborough Wolves will challenge the Frankford Pioneers at 3:15 p.m. on Thursday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty run totals in their previous games.

Roxborough took a loss when they played away from home two weeks ago, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Thursday. They were the clear victors by a 13-2 margin over Murrell Dobbins Vo-Tech.

Meanwhile, Frankford sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 12-10 win over South Philadelphia on Wednesday. That's two games straight that the Pioneers have won by exactly two runs.

Roxborough now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Frankford, they now also have a winning record of 2-1.

Everything went Roxborough's way against Frankford when the teams last played back in April of 2018, as Roxborough made off with an 18-0 victory. Will the Wolves repeat their success, or do the Pioneers have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
