Basketball Game Preview: Holly Springs Golden Hawks vs. Wake Forest Cougars + How To Watch

The Holly Springs Golden Hawks are taking a road trip to take on the Wake Forest Cougars at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams are strolling into their matchups after big wins in their previous games.

Holly Springs is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They breezed past Ascend Leadership Academy to the tune of 78-18 on Friday. The Golden Hawks pushed the score to 64-17 by the end of the third, a deficit the Aviators had no chance of recovering from.

Holly Springs got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Chase Olgine out in front who shot 43% from the field en route to 14 points along with seven boards and four steals. Another player making a difference was Vinn Robinson, who posted nine points and eight rebounds.

Holly Springs was working as a unit and finished the game with 20 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Ascend Leadership Academy only posted two.

Meanwhile, Wake Forest waltzed into their game on Saturday with three straight wins... but they left with four. They claimed a resounding 70-33 victory over the Pirates. The contest marked the Cougars' most dominant win of the season so far.

Holly Springs' record now sits at 2-4. As for Wake Forest, their record is now 5-3.

Holly Springs came up short against Wake Forest when the teams last played back in December of 2017, falling 78-66. Can the Golden Hawks avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
