La Grange skates past Smithville with ease

Recap: La Grange Leopards vs. Smithville Tigers

Make it ten blowout wins for the La Grange Leopards this season. They blew past Smithville, posting a 74-34 win on the road. The victory was nothing new for La Grange as they're now sitting on 11 straight.

Nathan Scott was his usual excellent self, scoring 26 points along with eight rebounds and three steals. He is on a roll when it comes to points, as he's now scored 15 or more in the last four games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Devonte McKenzie, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and 11 rebounds.

La Grange is on a roll lately: they've won 16 of their last 20 games, which provided a nice bump to their 20-8 record this season. As for Smithville, they are on a 11-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-15.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. La Grange will take on Taylor at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Taylor knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past four games -- so hopefully La Grange likes a good challenge. As for Smithville, they will stay at home for another game and welcome Manor New Tech at 7:30 p.m. on January 23rd. Manor New Tech is hoping to put an end to a three-game streak of away losses.
