Baseball Game Preview: St. Joseph Wildcats vs. Wildwood Catholic Crusaders

St. Joseph has gone a perfect 5-0 against Wildwood Catholic recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Wildcats will welcome the Crusaders at 4:00 p.m. Neither St. Joseph nor Wildwood Catholic posted many runs in their last games, so it might be the pitching crews that decide this one.

St. Joseph fell victim to Lower Cape May and their airtight pitching crew on Monday. They fell just short of the Tigers by a score of 2-0. The game snapped a strange streak: the last five times these teams have met, it?s been the away team that?s taken home the W.

St. Joseph saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jack Cassidy, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base.

Meanwhile, Wildwood Catholic was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They fell 6-2 to Wildwood.

Wildwood Catholic's loss dropped their record down to 4-9. As for St. Joseph, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-7.

St. Joseph skirted past Wildwood Catholic 5-3 in their previous meeting back in May of 2019. Will the Wildcats repeat their success, or do the Crusaders have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
