Lincoln-Sudbury had won four straight home games and Mila Gottesman did her part to make it five on Friday. The Warriors had just enough and edged out the Shrewsbury Colonials 3-2 with plenty of help from Gottesman, who had 21 digs and five aces. With that strong performance, she is now averaging an impressive 2.1 aces per game.
Lincoln-Sudbury was staring down a 2-1 deficit headed into the fourth set, but they rallied to take the next two for the win. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 28-26, 23-25, 20-25, 25-17, 15-13.
When it comes to explaining why Shrewsbury lost, don't look at Erin Boulay. Despite the final result, she had 22 digs. Neha Nagireddy also deserves some recognition as she posted her first assist of the season.
