1. Oak Hill Academy (Mouth of Wilson)
2013-14 record: 41-4, Dick's Nationals runner-up
Head coach: Steve Smith

The Warriors could play over 50 games this season and are well-equipped to handle the rigors of a demanding schedule. Senior standouts DDwayne Bacon (Florida State), Daniel Giddens (Ohio State), Andrew Fleming (Iowa) and Joshua Reaves (Penn State) have all committed to high major college programs already.

2. Cape Henry Collegiate (Virginia Beach)
2013-14 record: 26-1
Head coach: Mark Hall



Chris Clarke (Virginia Tech pledge) and Marcus Evans (Rice) helped Collegiate go 26-0 a year ago before falling in the VISAA Division 1 title game. Paul Grinde, a 6-foot-9 senior, should take a major step forward after battling injuries in 2013-14.

3. Paul VI (Fairfax)
2013-14 record: 31-6, WCAC tournament champions, VISAA Division 1 state champions
Head coach: Glenn Farello

Transfers hit this potential national title contender hard in the offseason, but the Panthers got a big one coming back the other way as well. VJ King, a 6-7 junior guard, made his way to Paul VI from Ohio to join senior Syracuse pledge Franklin Howard (6-5, G/F). There's still plenty of size and talent on the roster to win the Washington Catholic Athletic Conference.

4. Benedictine (Richmond)
2013-14 record: 25-7
Head coach: Robert Churchwell III



Churchwell is back on the sideline at Benedictine after a one-year absence. The Cadets will be led by senior Clelin Ferrell and a new-look cast that includes six players over 6-foot-6.

5. Carlisle (Martinsville)
2013-14 record: 30-10
Head coach: Jason Niblett

Losing Thon Maker and younger brother Matur to a school in Canada was a disappointment, but senior Kaleb Johnson is picking up the slack through five games. The 6-7 swingman is averaging 32 points and 12 rebounds per outing.
