Baseball Game Preview: Poca Dots vs. Buffalo Bison

The Poca Dots will take on the Buffalo Bison at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Poca has a tough task ahead: they'll enter the game with four straight losses, while Buffalo will come in with six straight wins.

Poca saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Preston Bonnett, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one stolen base and one run. Bonnett has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times he's played.

Meanwhile, Buffalo was able to grind out a solid victory over Clay County on Monday, taking the game 7-2.

Caiden Craig was excellent, going 2-for-4 with three stolen bases and two runs. He has become a key player for Buffalo: the team is 8-2 when he posts at least two runs, but 4-6 otherwise. The team also got some help courtesy of Britton Hudson, who went 1-for-3 with two stolen bases and one run.

Buffalo pushed their record up to 12-8 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home. The home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.5 runs over those games. As for Poca, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-17.
