Recap: Heritage Christian Academy Eagles vs. Alleluia Community
The Heritage Christian Academy Eagles's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their ninth straight loss. They were beaten by Alleluia Community 60-15. Heritage Christian Academy was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 34-8.
Alleluia Community's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Alley McBride led the charge by scoring 23 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Lucy Krementz, who scored 14 points.
Heritage Christian Academy dropped their record down to 2-11 with that defeat, which was their sixth straight at home. Those losses could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 25.8 points per game. As for Alleluia Community, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games, which provided a nice bump to their 16-5 record this season.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Heritage Christian Academy will square off against Southside Christian at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Alleluia Community will be staying on the road on Tuesday to face off against Westminster Schools of Augusta at 6:00 p.m. on January 30th.
