Baseball Game Preview: Damien Spartans vs. Los Osos Grizzlies

For the second straight game, Damien will face off against Los Osos. The Spartans will head out on the road to take on the Grizzlies at 3:15 p.m. on Friday. The squads are rolling into the game with opposing streaks: Damien has struggled recently with four defeats in a row, while Los Osos will arrive with five straight wins.

Los Osos hit Damien with a six-run fifth inning on Wednesday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Spartans took a 9-4 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Grizzlies.

For Los Osos' part, Jordan Mejico tossed a big game, pitching 5.2 innings while giving up three earned runs off six hits.

At the plate, Los Osos let Justin Yeutter and Wyatt Mohler run wild. Yeutter went 2-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI, while Mohler went 2-for-4 with two runs, two RBI, and one double.
