Baseball Recap: Virginia Episcopal School Has No Trouble Against Hargrave Military Academy

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Virginia Episcopal School). They were the clear victors by a 21-4 margin over the Hargrave Military Academy Tigers on Thursday. With that victory, the Bishops brought their scoring average up to 6.6 runs per game.

Lawrence Dempsey was a major factor no matter where he played. He pitched one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. What's more, he posted three strikeouts, the most he's had since back in April of 2024. He was also big at the plate, scoring three runs while going 1-for-4.

In other batting news, Virginia Episcopal School got a massive performance out of Nate Gobble, who scored three runs and stole a base while going 3-for-3. That's the most runs Gobble has posted since back in April of 2024. Caden Godsie was another key player, scoring four runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-3.
