Volleyball Recap: Concord Comes Up Short

Concord was the 3-0 winner over Salisbury when they last played one another on September 4th, but their luck changed this time around. The Spiders fell just short of the Hornets by a score of 3-2 on Tuesday. The Spiders have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

The loss didn't mean the game wasn't competitive: Salisbury scored at least 12 points in every set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-20, 25-21, 24-26, 22-25, 15-12.

Isabell Bishop paced Concord's offense, picking up 12 kills. Bishop got some help from Adeline Fulton and her 26 assists.

Concord's defeat dropped their record down to 9-9. As for Salisbury, with the victory, they broke their eight-match losing streak and moved their record to 5-13.

Concord wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 3-1 loss against A.L. Brown on the 1st. As for Salisbury, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-1 defeat against East Rowan on the 2nd.
