Recap: Maplewood Tigers vs. Seneca Bobcats
The Maplewood Tigers lost against the Seneca Bobcats back in October of 2022, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Maplewood was the victim of a rough 42-22 defeat at the hands of Seneca. Maplewood was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 42-6.
When it comes to explaining why Maplewood lost, one person who can't be blamed is Dominick Kinney. Despite the final result, he rushed for 38 yards and a touchdown, and also caught a touchdown.
Nolan Seabury was on fire for Seneca: he rushed for 129 yards and two touchdowns on only 14 carries, and also threw for 210 yards and three touchdowns while completing 73.7% of his passes. Dominic Buscemi also deserves a shout-out for his two touchdowns.
Seneca's defense stepped up as well, laying out the QB six times. Maplewood's QB won't forget Joe Brennan anytime soon given Brennan sacked him 2.5 times.
Maplewood has been struggling recently, as they've lost four of their last five games, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-8 record this season. As for Seneca, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 4-6.
Maplewood will head out on the road to face off against Cambridge Springs at 7:00 p.m. on November 4th. Cambridge Springs is coming into the match hot, having won their last three games. Seneca does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
