Football Recap: Eureka Vandals vs. Carlin Railroaders

Eureka extended their losing streak (dating back to last season) to four on Thursday, dropping them down to 0-3. They took a blow against the Carlin Railroaders, falling 44-6. The Vandals were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Railroaders apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in October of 2024.

As for Carlin, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 3-0. Those wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they've averaged 41.3 points this season.

Carlin had a senior duo take command as Dylan Ramirez gained 194 total yards and three touchdowns and Gage Lewis rushed for 136 yards and two TDs on only 11 carries. Ramirez also put in work on the defensive side of the ball, picking up four sacks and making 12 total tackles (5.0 for loss).
