Football Game Preview: West Plains Zizzers vs. Poplar Bluff Mules

The West Plains Zizzers will square off against the Poplar Bluff Mules at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

West Plains barely beat Bolivar the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Zizzers were the clear victors by a 35-12 margin over the Liberators on Friday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Zizzers.

Meanwhile, Poplar Bluff was able to grind out a solid victory over Sikeston on Friday, taking the game 21-14. The Mules haven't had any issues with the Bulldogs recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive win against them.

West Plains' victory bumped their record up to 4-2. As for Poplar Bluff, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-5.

West Plains was able to grind out a solid victory over Poplar Bluff in their previous matchup back in October of 2024, winning 35-28. Will the Zizzers repeat their success, or do the Mules have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
