Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Sylvania). They were the clear victors by a 16-3 margin over the Kate Duncan Smith DAR Patriots on Saturday. The team's explosion at the plate also rewarded the Rams with their most commanding win of the season.

Braelyn Hastings made a splash while hitting and pitching. She pitched five innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off two hits. Hastings was also big at the plate, going 3-for-4 with two RBI.

In other batting news, Sylvania let Mara Anderson and Alli Murdock run wild. Anderson went 1-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and two RBI, while Murdock scored two runs and stole a base while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances. That's the most runs Murdock has posted over her last 16 matchups. The team also got some help courtesy of Molly Weaver, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-3.

Sylvania always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .514. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Sylvania's victory bumped their record up to 6-14. As for Kate Duncan Smith DAR, they now have a losing record of 14-15.
