Basketball Recap: Climax Springs Comes Up Short

Climax Springs played a tough matchup on Tuesday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They were dealt a 60-13 loss at the hands of the Macks Creek Pirates. The Cougars have struggled against the Pirates recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive lost matchup.

It was another big night for India Willis, who went 10 for 15 on her way to 26 points along with seven rebounds and seven steals for Macks Creek. Willis is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last 23 games she's played dating back to last season. Another player making a difference was Brooklyn Duggan, who posted five points and eight assists.

Climax Springs' defeat dropped their record down to 6-6. As for Macks Creek, their win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 15-2.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Climax Springs will take on Fair Play at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Macks Creek, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Weaubleau at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.
